Ran over something on 77 and blew a tire at 9pm on a Sunday night. Luckily we were less than a mile away from Lester’s. They offer 24 hour towing but their mechanic shop closes at 5. I have oversized tires so using the spare wasn’t an option. I called and I believe his name was Brandon told me that he’d see what tires they had in house that could get us going. He found a set and he had them balanced and mounted and us ready to go in no time. Great place to do business!

My son and his girlfriend broke down on I-77 on his way from Blacksburg, VA to Myrtle Beach, SC. The first shop he called was "too busy" to even come get him but recommended he call Lester's. Lester's sent out a truck and found him. They took him to the shop and within 5 minutes had the hood up and two people checking out the engine. They came back with the expected diagnosis, a bad alternator. They didn't push anything else. They gave a very high estimate but what could we do? We authorized the repair and my son and his girlfriend settled in for what was expected to be a long wait. In UNDER TWO HOURS, the car was fixed AND, this is HUGE, they charged about 1/3 less because they got done so fast, shaving 50% off of the anticipated labor charge.Safe, quick and honest. They are exactly what roadside service should be. I hope you never need them in the way my son did, but if you do, it's good to know they are out there.

We were on our way to Ghent from Charlotte when we started having car trouble. Unfortunately, this happened on a Friday evening, so most places were already closed. We called one place that was about to close up shop, but they referred us to Lester's, which was luckily only 6 or 7 miles away.Although they had to give us the bad news that our transmission needed to be replaced and that they wouldn't be able to order one until Monday, they were super helpful and laid out all of our options for us. They didn't seem like they were trying to get any extra money out of us. Once the new transmission showed up, they were quick to get the the work done. Good, honest work! Car has been running fine since.Thank you all!

Sunday before Thanksgiving, I pulled into the Virginia welcome center. Their shop was one stop up I believe… I should add it was 20-25 degrees outside and my diesel is a southern Georgia truck that had untreated diesel with clogged filters. It shut down immediately when I came to a stop and would not start back. I called a few tow places but no one was open. Thankfully a “Loves”ly shop worker/truck stop gave me a list of numbers to call and as I also had minimal service to search the web. THANKFULLY Lester’s answered on the second ring and they said we’ll be right there! They got to us within 20 minutes. Which was great because we had no heat in the truck and I had two small children with a pup too. Yes I know we could go in the rest stop for heat which is what we did… but if I left that out someone might parent shame ha!Landon showed up to tow us and I can’t say enough of how pleasurable he was. My kids were ecstatic to be inside a tow truck (highlight of their trip 😂). He chatted with us as if we were regular customers and had been there before. I couldn’t believe how humble and down to earth he was. He was a very professional young man who knew what he was doing that’s for sure.We arrive at their shop, push the truck in to the heated garage bays and 45 minutes later they had my truck up and running again. They didn’t charge me $1,000’s, they didn’t even charge me $1000… I won’t disclose what they charged me because I really felt blessed at my bill. Unlike other garages, they even let me know I needed bank 1 side fuel rail but the truck would make the trip before needing replaced completely. They changed filters, topped off my fluids and I was good to go. What garage let’s you know that you can continue on without trying to do the work?! NONE! They let me know I could continue on with my trip I’d just need it replaced when I got back home.Wouldn’t you know the truck made the 1500 mile trip with no issues after they got it back on the road. I took it to my mechanic back here and he said “bank 1 fuel rail has 0psi at crank” which is the same thing Lester’s guys had said. Thank you guys, thank you Landon especially for helping us out and being so personable with my wife and kiddos. You guys saved the trip and I appreciate all you did.

My truck shut down on the mountain. They towed me down to their shop figured out and fixed the problem and got me rolling again. Very quick efficient and communicated the whole time. Life long customer now. Thank you.

Great guys. We found the reason why my truck freightliner cascadia didn't go. We ordered a spare part for the def system and when it was brought in the evening, they did not wait for the morning and did it right away and I was able to go further at night.

The owner was of great help. Our 18 wheels broke down on 77. They took care of our equipment for two months and worked on payment arrangements. Helped us hook up with our own towing boom and sent us on our way.

When does your car usually break down? In the mountains at 6PM on a weekend of course. But we had the good fortune of pulling off at the same exit as Lester’s. By 1:00 PM Sunday Nick and crew had our car fix and we were back on road. Highly recommend Lester’s.

I was very satisfied with the towing service itself, the driver took us to a hotel and even stopped and let us pick up some food because it was geting late. We were traveling thru on I-77 up the mountain just 3 miles across the Virginia line, when the motor went out and couldn't be repaired, after my brother who was dealing with PNEUMONIA drove almost 4 hours to pick up our car, they just handed him the keys and said here you go. He used come alongs to get the car on the trailer and it took him 2 hours the way they dropped the car had the front end up against the fence. He said there were at least a dozen people walking around. Not one person offered to help him. We were stuck at the hotel 12 miles away. He had decided to get the car first. I was very upset because when he got to us because he looked like he couldn't take one more step.

My Daughter broke down with an overheated engine on a Saturday morning. Lester's was able to tow it to their shop, diagnose the problem, order the parts and she was on the road Sunday afternoon.Big thank you to Nick for coming in early Sunday morning to fix the vehicle. Lester's was very helpful, fair, and honest. They found other problems while doing my repair, which they also fixed, and the bill came in significantly lower than I expected. My vehicle is doing great afterword. I'd never hesitate to use Lester's in the future.

While driving a semi truck I had broken down heading north, Lester's were called. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time to check to see if they could repair the truck, realized it couldn't be repaired on the side of the road (bolts sheared off from idler pulley) they had my truck towed to their shop and the next evening I was back on the road. These guys were very courteous and accommodating

Today my car overheated on I-77 (bad luck), and I just happened to pull off at an exit 1/4 mile from Lester's Towing (good luck). They saw my car sitting there with the hazard lights blinking, came over to offer help, and towed the car down the road to the garage. Great guys-- It felt like they made every effort to prioritize my repair. They figured out that I had a cracked coolant hose and then went out of their way to go pick up the right part so that I could get back on the road by early evening. I am so grateful for their assistance, and I felt their pricing was very reasonable!

Murphy's Law bit me! When the new tire on your motorhome goes flat within an hour of having it installed at the tire shop you know you're having a bad day. The driver from Lester's struggled to hook up the RV during a downpour and on the side of the interstate, but he did an outstanding job. Anyone else may have damaged it but he treated it like it was his own. Very impressive!
